F/X …

Starting in 2018 after our gig at Blurred Edges Hamburg, AAA-AAA designed a concert series that reflects in each of its editions the specific elements in the effects (F/X) chain of electric guitar signals. Starting with the most fun and most obvious = distortion, we made it through modulation and delay also to „volume“, which is not an effect in the classic sense, but it’s an important pedal for guitarists and also a very important (the most important?) parameter in composition.

F/X Distortion

Jesse Broekman – Dor andere Handen II

For two e-guitars and feedback systems

Super smart and elegant feedback system with transducers and whammy pedals, that produce some form of Risset glissandi within the feedback circle. And a lot of distortion!

F/X Volume

Karlheinz Stockhausen – SPRIRAL

Für E-Gitarre und Radio

Following a plus/minus-system in arranging the piece, this fit ideally to our program of „volume“-pieces.

Other pieces In the program:

For two e-guitars and volume pedals.

Arr. for two electric guitars

The concert was endorsed by Lehle ® with three volume pedals. It was hosted and documented by the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg.

F/X Delay

Neil Thomas Smith – Stop Motion Music II

For two e-guitars and delay pedals

Very subtle delay-phase-shiftings between the guitars (which make sit super hard to play, since your delay time becomes your tempo orientation, while you hear a completely different tempo from the other guitar delay).

F/X Modulation

Steffen Krebber – Laufzeitumgebung

Version for and by AAA-AAA for E-Guitar and Talkbox

This is so cool. And its part of our AAA-lbum that you should definitely buy as a hardware, or at least on Bandcamp.
